On October 15th and 16th, 25 of the most prestigious LVMH houses open their doors to share their heritage and know-how. A nice occasion to discover a universe totally apart: Haute Couture, leather goods or even French vineyards. Workshops, cellars, family houses or showrooms, these exceptional sites will reveal arts and ancient techniques. Thus, the Louis Vuitton’s workshop in Asnières, the Givenchy’s Haute Couture show or the Guerlain House will have no secret for you.

A Priori Thé, Paris

A Priori Thé was founded in 1980 by a young American girl. Nestled in one of the most beautiful Parisian arcades, this is a chic tea room for brunch and tea time. Thanks to its pastries to die for, such as scones, brownies, cheesecakes and crumbles, this lovely establishment has earned a nice reputation. In summer, you can taste an ultra soft blueberry muffin on the terrace, under the glass roof of the Galerie Vivienne, whereas in winter you would rather book a table inside.

Lisonia has Opened its First Parisian Jewel Case

Lisonia hides an inspired designer who has always been fascinated by precious stones and especially by diamond. And Elisa Nataf decided to sublimate it in every creation, combining “girl’s best friend” with white, pink, yellow or black gold. Everybody loves her rings, necklaces and pendants with names as sexy as catchy: « Chanceuse », « Mignonne » or « Princesse ». Lisonia has just opened its first boutique in Paris, just off the Place du Marché Saint-Honoré. A great opportunity to give oneself a shopping day between girls!

Timeless stopover at the Mini Palais

Very few restaurants in Paris can boast about being enchanting and timeless. At the Mini Palais, we enter the temple of good taste, but especially in a majestic setting. This gourmet restaurant, designed by architect duet Gilles & Boissier, is in an “artist studio” style. But the best part remains the terrace, lined with imperial columns along its length, and some palm trees. Simply exceptional! At night, with the candle lights, it creates a cozy and romantic atmosphere.

The cuisine…
Eric Fréchon prepares simple but gourmet dishes: Pil-Pil squids; yellow wine cheese crusted sweetbread; whiting which melts in the mouth and baby spinach salad; roasted figs and gingerbread ice cream, which will take you back to your childhood straightaway. The wine steward is our very favorite. He will guide you throughout the meal, offering a perfect wine-dish harmony. Reserving a table at the Mini Palais means that you will live for sure, a unique experience.

For this 28th edition, the Minister of Culture and Communication, Frédéric Mitterrand, expects to do better than 2010 ! Twelve millions of people had admired the 15 ooo monuments which were open last year. This year, culture lovers will travel again with pleasure through our European Heritage. With the theme l’Art de bâtir, European Heritage Days display that the architecture of a monument depends on the inspiration sources of its creator but, it depends also on fashion, and on era preferences for one or another building materials. An informative travel and carefully planned since the most of museums and monuments will be free !

Book a table at Les Fines Gueules

Located in a historic 17th century listed building designed by the architect Jules Hardouin Mansart just off the Place des Victoires, the restaurant Les Fines Gueules is celebrated as a landmark of the 1er arrondissement. Capturing the historic and contemporary in a unique atmosphere, this building built of exposed stone, brick, metal and wood is home to a market-based cuisine with a core focus on seasonal flavours. The reason? Les Fines Gueules uses only reputed producers like Joel Thiebault, the market gardener supplying to many of the city’s top chefs, or Hugo Desnoyers, the meat supplier to the Elysee Palace. Some of the house specialties are Sea Bream with Peach Sauce, Tartare de Limousine au Couteau (hand-cut steak tartar) and Pear Clafoutis, not to mention the many organic wines (the restaurant boasts a significant selection of 500 French and foreign wines). A great place to go with friends.

Horror Picture Tea: the rock’n'roll tea room!

Known for its luxury boutique and designer clothes, the area of Saint-Honoré is now also the den of rock’n'roll enthusiasts! At the Horror Picture Tea tearoom, you can taste the delicious pastries of the young Guillaume Sanchez, former student of Pierre Hermé, in a quirky atmosphere. Because the Horror Picture Tea is no ordinary tearoom. You can attend rock concerts, order oriental rum-flavored tea such as the “Apple Pékin” or a “Chocolate Starfish” chocolate and praline tart, as a tribute to the band Limp Bizkit. Unheard of!
