Basquiat, the symbol of Neo-Expressionism
Fend off urban culture, underground, violent and anarchic. Here is the trademark of Jean-Michel Basquiat. The Museum of Modern Art City of Paris ( ARC ) devotes an exhibition to him from October 15th 2010 to January 30th 2011. For its fiftieth birthday, the Parisian museum offers a vast retrospective of one of the artists who has left his imprint in the late 70s. Coming from the graffiti and “Neo-Expressionism” generation, Jean-Michel Basquiat is famous for being the youngest and the first black artist having exposed in the Biennale of the Whitney Museum of American Hart in New-York, in 1984.
Opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Late-night on Thursdays until 10pm.
